The Dunrossness Community Profile

Ness Profile Motif[d]

What is the Profile?

The profile report is based on a community questionnaire and subsequent analysis. The following excerpt from the report summarises its purpose:

"...This profile aims to identify the community's strengths and opportunities and to look at service provision in the area. From the resulting report the Community Council will form an Action Plan to take the Community forward into the 21st century."

What was Ascent Software's involvement in the report?

The community council had already developed a questionnaire. Ascent was engaged to prepare analysis tools for the processing of returns. A spreadsheet solution was used, using multiple sheets to provide breakdown of responses by both locality and sex. The community council entered the return details onto the prepared spreadsheets, continuously building up a picture of the community's responses. Once this phase was completed, Ascent helped with the interpretation of the results, the preparation of graphs and charts and with the formatting of a fairly large profile report.
